Daddy-Daugther Love

I love to write and want to be really good! Here's the beginning and all I have. What are some of the things that you believe God has gifted you with? What do you think spiritual gift wise?

Bryan loved his child with everything that he was even though he never had gotten a chance to meet his daughter. She was a beautiful three years old, golden curls, and sparkling blue eyes like the ocean. The fact was, he had only ever seen pictures and talked to his daughter yet never gotten to meet her in real life.
And that’s was the only thing that kept him going sometimes.
Sometimes, thinking about his daughter was the thing that pushed him to go forward, to be a leader to his shoulders, to show love, respect, to do what needed to be done in the war. Taking a deep breath late at night in his tent, he pulled out the photo of his daughter and wife and looked at it carefully as he did every night. Then, licking his dry lips, he pulled out the letter his wife had written when she was struggling to raise their daughter without a father. His heart ached for them and he wished that he could be there with them more then anything…
When Gabby, the special name that only be called her for Gabriel, told him that they were going to have a child, he had been so shocked that he’d fallen to his knees and the first thing he did was thank God. The coming months past and together Bryan and Gabby had experienced some of their baby’s first. First kick, first stretch…if anything made you believe that there was a God who loved, it was a newborn child. Within weeks before the baby's due date, Bryan was deployed to Iraq, the call being both sudden and unwanted. It had been hard but they knew that they would see each other again.
