Break my heart for what breaks yours...
Late last night we arrived home from our mission trip to Los Angeles. It went really well doing homeless ministry and VBS and we all had a good time. We had five days of ministry and about four days of traveling. On the first day of ministry we did a food drive for a Christian organization and on the other four days we did Vacation Bible School and just got to know the homeless people through Urban Connection, a mission organization. We got to serve coffee in the morning, pass out donuts on the street, eat in homeless shelters, learn people's stories, and see life through different eyes. We also got to visit different churches and go to the ocean (which was a blast!) and Hollywood. It was really cool meeting other Christians, Christians who were so different from you. Yet we all serve the same God, despite if we're homeless, if we have been arrested, or our past and even the present. It's great! If you have questions, just call or ask!

Tossing ocean waves and broken hearts...
I am SO excited about going to Los Angeles on a mission trip! We'll leave in two days. While there, be will be doing VBS, a food drive, and working with homeless people. The thing I'm most excited about is the ministry. We also get to go the the ocean, Hollywood Boulevard, and maybe get to meet one of my sister's friends. Please be in prayer about the trip and feel free to comment! I will try to write again before I leave.

Off to forensics competition!
We're off to a forensics competition today! We'll come home Thursday but then on Friday we're going to a youth conference with our youth group. I'm excited about both. Please pray for both! At forensics, I will be doing apologetics, duo (Cinderella with my brother), dramatic (When Invisible Children Sing-a great book!), and a speech about how we've distorted the truth. I'll let you know how it goes!

Hair cut time!
Yesterday, after helping one of my friends help me with forensics, I went and got my hair cut at a friends out. It was certainly a memorable experience! The lady cutting me hair plopped me down in the kitchen and starting cutting my hair and people were dumping water on each other, playing music, and the Mom said the pastor was on his way (not sure from where). I got it cut to about shoulder length and got bangs, too. I like it so far! I'll try to post a picture on sometime.

Pray...
I have a couple things for you to pray about! First, a guy that sometimes goes to youth group half sister was in a terrible car wreck. She's eight years old. She was put on life support and is, as far as I know, still on it. Her brain is also dead. Pray for her, her family, the doctors, that God would comfort and draw close to them, and they would be surrounded by amazing Christian people. I don't know if her parents or Grandparents are Christian (though I don't believe her Grandma is) but her half brother might be.
Also, there's a girl in town that recently had an abortion. That makes me really sad. It sounds like people, even Christians, are condemning her a lot. I do NOT agree with her choice but I don't we should condemn her (Matthew 7:1). She's already going to get enough of that! She's gone to church before so she too proally knows it wasn't right and, if not now, later. Pray we would surround her with love, not judgement.
One of my home-school friends had a friend that was in a car wreck Monday night. He was banged up pretty bad and his passenger had a broken neck (thankfully, they believed it could be fixed). Pray her him and my friend and her family, too. Anything I can pray about?

You're the One
Hey! Here's a good song if you want to check it out! It's called You're the One by Chris and Conrad and you can just watch it on Youtube. I like it. What do you think about it? What's your favorite song or style of music? If you have any songs you want me to listen to (or anyone), just comment!
More pictures from our drama!!! :)
Below are more pictures from Yellow Star. The drama was about three siblings who take in French and Jewish children to be kept safe from the war. I was a maid hired to watch after the children, cooking, cleaning, etc. It has a great ending...which I might explain later if I have more time. :p What's your favorite picture?

My oldest sis, Kristen, surprised us kids and came back to the play.

Getting my hair done! Almost time to go get makeup. I love my hair curled like that.

The last scene...a touching scene.

Acting! During the scene once, we ate a little of the cake. Later, we found out the cake expired in '08! Opps! Oh, and notice that bruise on my arm? That's from playing a game at the basketball tournament. :)

Some friends in front of the market. Don't you love the cool backdrop?!?

Yellow Star!

The ending of our play...

Class of 2013! So proud of my good-lookin' class.

Acting...

Me and my friend Susannah in front of the market scene.
Here are some pictures from our drama Yellow Star. It went good both nights and it's been fun. Yesterday I got to hand out programs with three of other people and it was a blast! It's been fun wearing makeup and hair as well as wearing 40's costumes!
